My husband and I drive past this place on York Rd all the time but have never stopped. The parking lot is always full to the top! So tonight on a whim we decided to pull and stop. Now we were a bit scared of a long wait because of how full the parking lot was. But to our surprise we were seated right away and there was still plenty of open tables. However, when we walked past the bar is was packed. THe dining room was about a little over 1/2 full. Now I am not sure who the man was (owner, manager, host, etc) but he was VERY energetic and told us that the menu had a nice spread and if there was something we wanted that wasn't on the menu the chef could do it for us.

We order the Crab Dip ($9) as an appetizer! OH MY GOD! One of the best crab dips I have ever had.

Then for dinner I had the Crabs, Crabs, Crabs: jumbo lump crab cake, crab imperial, & crabmeat cocktail ($22). The lumps of crab were HUGE and the crab cake was WONDERFUL! The Hubby had Philly Cheese Steak: thinly sliced steak, sauteed onions & provolone cheese ($8) and then added fries (came with chips).

The service was great! The food came out fast and the appetizer and meal had enough time in between (I hate when they serve one on top of the other). The bus boy even came over and filled our soda up and then the waitress brought us a pitcher of soda (we didn't even ask). The energetic guy checked in and made sure everything came out fine!

Now I have read a few reviews on other sites about how dirty the place was- but it looked good to me and they cleared the tables fast- even the tables that people had steam crabs.

I will go back again!

Au Poitin Stil

I was here about 2 years ago. Last time I went the food was great even though the service was slow. I went back the other night with some gals pals and wasn't as impressed as I was the last time. The food wasn't that great- just average and our service was slow! Plus when we got there we had to look for a hostess to seat us. We stood around for about 5 minutes till I had to go to the bar to ask.

My hubby and I used to live right down the street from where this is (wasn't there when we lived there). We kept passing and wanted to try it (we tried the other weekend but it was packed! So last night we thought we would head over a for an early dinner!

I was pretty impressed. WHen you walk in you pass what looks like a butcher shop with all the meat on display and the kitchen (grill area) that is open to see behind glass as you walk in. My, My there are TVs everywhere! THe bar area has HUGE TVs and the dining areas has a bunch of TVS that surround the total area. My hubby and I both ordered the Rib-eye ($18) and it came with 2 sides (I got the caesar salad and the baked sweet potato and he got the baked sweet potato with a house salad). The steaks were perfect in taste the how they were cooked! They were so juicy and seasoned just right. However we both agreed that the baked sweet potato wasn't that great. The menu covered things form sandwiches, hamburgers, steaks, chicken, fajitas, and pasta. The service was good (we had around 3 different people that kept checking in on us- not once did we have to ask for drink refills on our Coke).

Overall this place was great except I thought the prices where a bit higher than normal steaks houses (for the steaks and burgers). But I will go back!

I have heard about this place from a few friends and that they have good crab-cakes. So heard over with a few gal pals for dinner this past Tuesday night. I couldn't believe it was a busy as it was for a Tuesday.

I got the Single Crab Cake Platter- lump crab meat seasoned and you can get it broiled or rired. It was pretty good. It came with a salad and baked potato.

The only thing that I didn't care for was the reservation policy. When I called they said they wouldn't seat everyone till the entire party was there and there was a 15 minute leeway for it. Now I guess since it was a week day and snowing out they didn't push the whole 15 minute thing (some of my party was bit late).

I will go back again and try some other things out. Some things the prices seemed good but yet some prices on certain things we a bit steep.

I went here the other night with some gal pals. I had never been. The service wasn't the best (I got a $2.50 soda and they never even offered to refill it) but the Sushi made up for it. I thought I would try something new- New York Roll (Sliced Apple, Sliced
Avocado,Smoked Salmon and some other simple stuff). It was yummy and sweet- I loved it! I also tried the Shrimp Tempura App (wasn't bad- only came 2 shrimp and like 5 different pieces of veggies).

My friends tried the Philadelphia Roll (YUMMY) and the California Roll (had better). I would go back!
