Paolo's Italian Restaurant

Paolo's Italian Restaurant
1 W Pennsylvania Ave Ste 1
Baltimore, MD 21204-5033

This place looks like a top notch place you cant afford... but really the pasts dishes and a few of the other dishes are the same as going to Olive Garden or somewhere like that! The presentation of the food was GREAT! Great after or before hitting the movies at the AMC upstairs! The asiago cheese fondue (served with roasted garlic ciabatta sticks) is to die for! I had the char-grilled filet mignon (with roasted fingerling potatoes, gorgonzola walnut asparagus and peppered red wine jus) and my hubby had the tuscan steak fritte (rib-eye steak topped with hand cut french fries, arugula, pepperoncini and a sweet tomato marmalade) and they were both sooo WONDERFUL! The place has such a great decor of an classy upscale place that you can wear smart casual and not break the bank! We also had the Creme Brulee which was good but the sugar on top was a bit burnt. I WILL be going back. Also an insider tip: the Entertainment book has a deal for buy 1 get 1 entree up to like $25. I loved it! It was so romantic. It looks like a coat and tie place but jeans and a nice shirt was fine. During the warming nights they open these night doors to the street. I would so recommend this place. Also it is a Club Mom place if you are a member of Club Mom (if not email me and I will tell you about it) I give this place 4 stars!!!

Firehouse Tavern

2800 E. Joppa Rd.
Mon - Sun 10:00am - 2:00am
Tel: 410-661-3555

My Hubby and I have based this place a million times and I have a friend who just bought a house right down the street form it! So When we went to go out to eat tonight we thought we would give this place a go!

I am glad we did. It is your typical tavern with a bar, tables, pool, darts, etc. I guess on the weekends they also have live entertainment and/or a DJ.

Tuesday is Burger A La Carte night for $3.50 (burger bun, mayo, lettuce and tomato) and then each topping (Cheese, bacon, etc.) is $.50 each. So we both got that with cheese and bacon ($4.50- not bad) and then we split a large side order of fresh cut fries. Yummy- just like the boardwalk fresh cut fries. I tried the Italian Wedding soup which was good and the Hubby also tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders- which he said were really good!

The service was great! THe deco was perfect for a Firehouse feel- the bathroom had these pictures of a Dalmatian going pee- the men's room he was lifting his leg and the women's she was squatting- it was funny!

I noticed Monday is wing night and they have some other great specials on different nights. I did notice the menu online was a bit dated in price but isn't that much off (from $.25 to $1.00)

So stop in and check it out!
