I got an email newsletter today that Taste was closing. Here is what the email said:
"Taste has been in Belvedere Square for three and one half years. We have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people who have come to the restaurant and had a great experience. My staff and I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you. It is with mixed emotions that I share with you all, that Thursday, April 10, 2008 will be our last day open as Taste Restaurant.
We are selling the restaurant and look forward to seeing the new owner bring his own personality and flare to the restaurant. We wish him and his new staff well.
We hope that you will visit us on April 10th. We would like the opportunity to serve you one last time. The bar and lounge will be open at 5 p.m. We will have a very limited menu. Come to Taste before we close.
As for me, I'm going to tak a little time off and then I'll be gearing up to begin a new adventure. The plan is to move to Charleston, South Carolina. I think a wine and tapas bar is in my future. - P> Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. We could not have done it without you. My staff and I look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Chef Ann "
