Dangerously Delicious Pies

I was listening to 98 Rock on Friday morning. The owner of Dangerously Delicious Pies (of Baltimore) was on and talking about how he was on a episode of Road Tested with the Neely's. He also mentioned that the Neely's asked him to be on their other show Down Home with the Neely's and do a BBQ Pie with them.

So Bravo to another Baltimorian for making it on TV! Now I just need to try me a pie!

What a big disappointment this place was. We heard about it on the Food Network channel so my wife and I thought we would try it out. We both ordered coffee and she ordered the Pecan and I ordered Peach. We were served a glass of warm water from a pitcher sitting on a table next to us and the the waiter brought the coffee. Great. After about 15 minutes the waiter comes back and asks us again what we ordered and then told us he thinks our order was given to a carry-out customer. He returns to the kitchen to put the order in again. after another 15 min, I ask the waiter was there a problem getting the pie and he responds that it's in the oven??? Well after waiting 40 min he brings the pie. It's good pie, not outstanding, not great, a rather small slice of rather ordinary pie priced at $6.00 Nothing else on the plate, nothing sets this pie apart other than the hype surrounding it.What a total disappointment. If you like the eccentric atmosphere of the place or the owner maybe you'll like the pie. One other observation: the waiter had no charm at all and seemed rather confused. No offence but this is the person representing your product to the public and he seemed overwhelmed and the place wasn't half full.My wife went home and made a Peach pie that put this pie to shame.
