Well I was reading today on CNN an article called Welcome to my party- Now pay up! that talks about going out as a group under certain circumstances and being stuck with a large bill or providing for yourself.
I have been out to dinner plenty of times with a group and say let’s just split it down the middle or we pay our share. The biggest problem I find is when you pay your share not everyone includes taxes, and all that and I ended tossing in more because others hadn't paid their share (I don’t mind if its a few bucks but over but $5 bothers me). Now this doesn't happen often. A lot of times I think its best to take the bill with taxes and tip and just split it among all if everyone basically spent the same amount give or take.
However I have never been in a situation like the article on CNN. How does a meal for 8 people come out to $3,450? What do you think?
