On Thursday January 29, 2009 from 7-10pm a friend of Portside Tavern (Kerri Socha) will be hosting a fund raiser. Please stop in and show your support and help raise money for a good cause.
Upon graduating from University of Maryland's School of Social Work this May, Kerri Socha is going to spend the summer volunteering for a nonprofit called Bike and Build. She will spend nine weeks riding her bike from the East Coast to the West Coast of the USA while building houses with organizations like Habitat for Humanity along the way. The purpose of the trip is to fundraise for and raise awareness of affordable housing. Please visit www.bikeandbuild.org for more information or to make a donation.
If you make a $10 donation (all door proceeds go to the cause) you will receive a wristband and 1 free drink ticket (any domestic beer or rail drink). Also, with the wristband you will receive $2 domestic bottles and $3 stoli drinks from 7-10pm.
