So after a day morning workshop and then shopping the rest of the day away we had dinner. On the way home after dinner on a whim we both said we were in the mood for something: Me- a Frosty Root Bear Float, Hubby- frosty.
So we pull over to Wendy's and order our cravings. We pull up to the 2nd window after paying and await for our desert. As I peer into the window I notice a man who works there stare at the order screen with a very puzzled look and pacing. So he gets a cup and puts a few squirts of some liquid/syrup and the stares at the screen again. He then says something to another guy and dumps the liquid out. Then with the same cup he adds the Root Beer and then the vanilla frosty. Then to my amazement he walks over to the mixer and blends it all together.
So while all this is happening my husband and I are chatting and question the actions. He comes over and hands me the frosty and then my "float" and I say to him I wanted a Root Beer Float. His reply after looking at the other guy that this was it. I then nicely said no a Root Beer float is when you place the frosty in the cup and then the root bear over it but do not mix them. He smiles and says ok.
So we continue to watch him make my float. He once again stares at hte screen and paces. This time he takes a cup fills it all the way with Root Beer and then take another cup and fill it all the way with frosty. He puts lids on them both and hands them to me. So as we watch this I tell my husband that I guess I am to make it own my own at home and I am not worrying about it. My husband said he thinks he must want to be the next Wendy's Top Chef and made me a deconstructed Root Beer Float.
How do two people working at a place where a Frosty Float is on the menu not know what it is and how to make it????? So once home I made it myself and enjoyed it finally. To my surprise I had enough for 2!
