KFC announces “Buckets for the Cure”

KFC is joining the fight against breast cancer with a national "Buckets for the Cure" campaign. They are striving to help educating more women and men about breast health, generating support for the cause and attempting to make the single largest donation in the history of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Through May 23, KFC will be dedicating special pink buckets to Komen for the Cure, with KFC restaurant operators having donated 50 cents for each pink bucket purchased before May 9.

To raise additional awareness about breast cancer, KFC has gone pink brand-wide. It started with changing the color of KFC's iconic pink bucket from red to pink. KFC also gave its "White House" headquarters the pink treatment, with lights, a banner and an oversized, pink Colonel-style ribbon tie. It also painted a Louisville restaurant pink from top to bottom and even temporarily changed the color of the Colonel's suit from white to pink.

RA Sushi takes us out to the ball game with the O's Roll- save $2

Take me out to the ball game
Take me out to the crowd
Then take me to RA for the O's Roll

RA Sushi has announced that they are bringing back the O’s Roll again this baseball season starting today with the home season opener tomorrow against the Toronto Blue Jays and throughout the 2010 baseball season.

The O's Roll is an eight-piece spicy lobster roll topped with fresh salmon and avocado drizzled with an orange spicy mayo sauce ($11.00).

“The O’s Roll was a crowd favorite last year as Baltimoreans showed their support for the hometown team,” said Scott Bernas, general manager of RA Sushi in Baltimore and a devoted Orioles fan. “We’re excited to bring it back for the 2010 season.”

Guests will be able to order the O’s Roll during lunch, happy hour and dinner hours seven days a week and will be able to receive $2 off the roll when they come in the day of a game with their ticket stub from that game. For those who can’t make it to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, RA has several large-screen HD-TVs tuned in to games in its bar area.

“All of us at RA Sushi are excited to root for the Orioles this season,” said Bernas. “We often have players from the Orioles come in and we want to be sure they know all of us at RA are big fans.”
RA Sushi is open 7 days a week starting at 11 a.m., the sushi bar and kitchen close at 11 p.m. and the bar is open until 1 a.m. or later every night. Happy Hour food and beverage specials are offered Monday through Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Flying Fish Lounge, a reverse happy hour held on Sundays, has food specials from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and drink specials 8 p.m. to midnight.

Poll: Where do you think is the perfect date night restaurant?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.

Where do you think is the perfect date night restaurant?
I am curious to know where the women dream to go on a date and where the men think is the best place for a date.  If the place you think is the perfect dream date is not on the list make sure to add it in the other area. (Also note I couldn't add every place of the list be forever long).

So what would you do if you were out on a date that turns in to the worst date ever- but then again maybe the best thing that has ever happened to you? Can it really be?

What if you were out to a swanky restaurant and had a case of mistaken identity- what would you do? Go with it or politely correct them?

Now thinking about those top 3 places you just voted for what if this happened to you and your date…

In “Date Night,” which opens this Friday (April 9th, 2010), a bored suburban couple Claire and Phil Foster played by Steve Carell and Tina Fey go on their weekly dinner date and find themselves thrown into a night of intrigue: there’s breaking and entering, a car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club.

To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro where a case of mistaken identity turns their evening into the ultimate date night-gone-awry. But as Claire and Phil take their unexpected walk on the wild side, they begin to remember what made them so special together.
