The Alzheimer’s Association will hold its 2ndAnnual
A Toast to Remember wine tasting event,
Wednesday, June 29, from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the
Westin Annapolis Hotel (100 Westgate Circle).
Presented by Park Plaza Shopping Center in honor of
Bob DeStefano, the evening will feature the theme,
Tour the World by Glass, and include wines from all over the world provided by Patrick Bouculat, owner of Wine Cellars of Annapolis.
Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach® (
www.TheWineCoach.com), will serve as host. A certified sommelier, wine educator and author of the award-winning book
The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine, Forster will kick off the event by providing the key strategies to create perfect pairings. Then, guests will travel to a series of food and wine stations.
Entertainment will include performances by the Rob Levitt Jazz Duo, as well as silent and live auctions featuring artwork, bed and breakfast stays, custom jewelry, dining and entertainment packages, and sports memorabilia.
An additional highlight will be a slideshow presentation that celebrates and commemorates the lives of loved ones touched by Alzheimer’s disease. Event proceeds will benefit the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness, support families, advance research and advocate for those affected by Alzheimer’s, including the more than 86,000 Marylanders currently living with this disease.
