Capital Grille new Winter “Plates” menu will have you coming back for more

The Capital Grille’s winter “Plates” menu debuted three new selections: Wagyu Cheeseburger with Fried Egg and Crisp Onions, Roasted Pepper Soup and Roasted Root Vegetables. You you can customize your lunch, choosing from nine “plates” offerings – three soups or salads, three sandwiches and three sides – all for $18.

According to Executive Chef Daniel Henry, the Wagyu Cheeseburger with Fried Egg and Crisp Onions features premium Japanese Wagyu beef blended with the right amount of seasoning, and is the kind of fresh twist on an American classic The Capital Grille is known for. Root vegetables are at the peak of their flavor in the winter, which makes our Roasted Root Vegetables a hearty addition to any of our lunch entrée selections. And speaking of cold weather, guests can warm up deliciously with a generous bowl of either Roasted Pepper Soup or our popular Clam Chowder, which combines New England’s finest, freshly shucked clams and tender potatoes.

I was invited in to try out the new additions to the winter “plates” menu. My dining companion and I started with the Clam Chowder that was full of flavor and nice amounts of clams. We both also tried the Wagyu Cheeseburger with Fried Egg and Crisp Onions – pause- YUM!!! The burger was flavorful, tender and juicy. Who can pass up the friend egg crisp onions (which didn’t get soggy at all)? I went for the side of truffle fries that I fell in love with off the fall “plates” menu. My companion tried the Roasted Root Vegetables were cooked perfectly.

For guests with a limited amount of time at lunch, The Capital Grille ensures they can enjoy the personalized service and mouth-watering cuisine that characterize a Capital Grille dining experience and still be on their way in about 45 minutes. (My companion and I didn’t make it in about 45 minutes – what can we say we are girls and had the gift of gab LOL).

As before the service was stellar and attentive but not over bearing.
