Chaired by Angela Lunczynski-Hamilton (board vice president for Maryland CASA and procurement manager for Coca Cola, Refreshments Inc.), the resort-style event will feature dinner, dancing and spectacular views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
“As a former CASA volunteer, I am so pleased to be able to offer the use of the Penthouse here at Silo Point, which provides a wonderful backdrop for what is sure to be a great evening,” said Pat Turner of Turner Development, the event’s key sponsor along with Nixon Peabody. “Maryland CASA serves the state’s most vulnerable children and I’m happy to support their efforts.”Guests can enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a Maryland-style Surf and Turf buffet prepared by Chef Egg, a Maryland-based private chef, culinary instructor, food demonstration specialist and host of the “Cooking with EggTV” Internet show. Adding to the fun will be music from DJ Kevin Silate and a silent auction offering the chance to bid on art, dining, entertainment, sports and travel items.
Event proceeds will be used to help Maryland’s children in the foster care system find safe and permanent homes. Last year, more than 1,400 CASA volunteers served more than 1,500 children in Maryland. But with 10,000 children under court protection, 9 out of 10 of them have no advocate speaking up for their best interests.
Tickets include admission, food, drinks and entertainment. The cost is $75 per person or $140 per couple before July 1, or $85 per person and $160 per couple afterward. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.MarylandCASA.org or call 410-828-6761 or 888-833-2272.
