#BeMoreFamilyEatOut promotion, an initiative to support local restaurants

Beth Laverick, Baltimore City resident, small business owner of B Scene Events & Promotions, and mom of two proud city kids, wanted to do her part to support local restaurants and businesses as much as possible, now more than ever. She created the #BeMoreFamilyEatOut promotion to help support Baltimore City restaurants.

Every participating restaurant listed is family-friendly and some are offering unique specials such as 25% off your check with advanced reservations and code #BeMoreFamilyEatOut at Pierpoint or 20% off dinner when guests say “Peace Baltimore” at Amiccis upon arrival.

Participating restaurants include: Café Gia Ristorante, Verde, Tin Roof Live Music Joint, Spoons, Heavy Seas Alehouse, Little Havana, Kooper’s, Clementine, Da Mimmo Finest Italian Cuisine, Roy’s Baltimore, Fork & Wrench, Hersh’s, Captain Larry’s, Sobo Café, Leinenkugel’s Beer Garden, HomeSlyce, Nick’s Fish House, Abbey Burger Bistro, Bertha’s, Peter’s Pour House, The Wharf Rat Fells Point, Todd Conner’s of Fells Point, Blue Hill Tavern, Mother’s, Langermann’s, Ale Mary’s, Joe Squared, Sydney’s Café, Carolinas’ Tex-Mex Restaurant, Herb & Soul Express, Warehouse 518 Restaurant and Bar, Hard Rock Café, Wine Market Bistro, Mex Tequila Bar and Alma Cocina Latina.

“Cafe Gia is participating in #BeMoreFamilyEatOut to try to keep the economy stimulated, spirits alive and help create a sense of calm and peace by encouraging pedestrian friendly streets,” said Gia Blattermann, owner of Cafe Gia’s Ristorante and Pane e Vino in Little Italy. “I think Beth’s initiative is spectacular and it corroborates who we are and what we stand for, that we’re a community based city passionate about maintaining the positive aspects and attributes of Charm City.”

Baltimoreans have been so supportive during this challenging time and dining out more than ever to support all of the local restaurants. Two local fitness centers contacted B Scene Events to support the promotion by offering FREE personal training/ FREE classes to combat weight gain from dining out! They came up with a simple program to encourage people to continue eating out without the worry of packing on pounds! As part of the #BeMoreFamilyEatOut promotion, if you dine at any of the participating restaurants and spend $60 or more (receipts may be combined) you will get to cash in on either One Hour of FREE Personal Training at Federal Hill Fitness in Federal Hill or MV Fitness in Mount Vernon or 3 FREE Classes at BeachFit Baltimore in Fell's Point.

"We want to encourage families to keep supporting our local restaurants participating in #BeMoreFamilyEatOut during curfew and through the end of May by offering a way to offset those extra calories, said Andrea M.
